The children's author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was reached following an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour involving young women.
The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, including a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
