Trump's Granddaughter Gets Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of Professional Golf Debut
The rising star maintains impressive social media following
The young golfer can count on plenty of well-known cheerleaders when she begins her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns multiple international courses and regularly matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she revealed.
She mentioned that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He basically told me to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in only three events this year and holds the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
However she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He is the best player in the world," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's a superior individual. He told me to play, have fun, following whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against some of top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Officials stated that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to different demographics, particularly with youth audiences.
The young star boasts a massive following and has started a personal fashion and living label.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
